Samantha Kreda

From Sam, "I was fortunate enough this summer to intern at the Ulster County District Attorney's Office with the Special Victims Unit as well as volunteer at a local domestic violence shelter with the children's program. Through my work at the DA's office, I learned about the intricacies of prosecuting SVU and DV cases. While at the shelter, I was able to deal more closely with the victims of the violence and abuse. Combining these experiences was enriching because I learned how I can better advocate for the victims of domestic violence through policy changes, heightened awareness of community members, and greater punishments for the abusers."
