DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: Nomination Memo - Late December. Final Dossier - Early February.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidates must hold full-time appointment as a professional librarian and must possess an MLS degree and may hold any academic rank. Candidates must have completed three academic years in full-time appointment as a professional librarian at the nominating campus prior to the year of nomination. Recipients of an Excellence Award may not be re-nominated for an award in the same category. Posthumous nominations are ineligible. Recipients of an Excellence award may not be nominated for another Excellence Award within a 10 years period. See Call for Nominations for exclusions.
SPECIFICS: Nominees for the award need not have a long record of service, but performance must have been extraordinary in the areas of skill in librarianship, service to the university and to the profession, and scholarship and continuing professional growth. A summary of accomplishments (limited to a maximum of 5 pages) and a CV are required for nominations.
