We advise students to work with faculty members to develop their proposals. Proposals must follow the exact guidelines and those that do not may be returned.

Proposals should include:
Proposals should be written in a font of 12 with single or double spacing between lines and at least 1-inch margins. Undergraduate students submitting proposals for the grants are restricted to two pages, excluding the cover page and list of literature cited but including the body of the proposal, figures, time frame, budget, etc. Abbreviations in the proposal need to be defined. No appendices are allowed for any of the proposals. The budget should list the amount required to conduct the actual project, regardless of what we can supply. Provide the actual project cost (and other sources of funding applied for, received or expected) and the amount requested from this office. If you received funding for this research from one of these sources in the past, add a page to the proposal to describe the research progress. All undergraduate proposals need to be reviewed by your research mentor and revised according to his/her recommendations. The final proposal needs to be signed by your research mentor before submitting it to the Office of Academic Programs.
A sample proposal is available for review: sample #1.
Funding is limited to full-time students only.
Four (4) copies of the proposal should be submitted to
